Climbing Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho Shira Route is one of the most scenic and rewarding ways to reach the summit. This route begins on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro and offers a unique start at a higher altitude, allowing you to enjoy incredible views from the Shira Plateau early in your journey.
Although similar to the Lemosho route, the main difference is that you begin closer to the second camp on the first day. From there, both routes follow the same path toward the summit, giving you a well-paced and beautiful climb across diverse landscapes.
With Go Vision Safaris, your Climbing Kilimanjaro experience is carefully designed for safety, comfort, and success. You will be supported by a professional team of experienced guides, porters, and a dedicated cook. Your health is checked twice daily to monitor altitude adjustment, and you will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals to keep your energy strong throughout the climb.
We also provide a detailed preparation guide to help you get ready for your adventure. This includes tips on training, packing, and the equipment you may need to buy or rent. Our approach ensures you are fully prepared and confident before starting your journey.

Many travelers ask us when the best time is to visit Tanzania. The answer is … there is not one right answer. It depends on what you want to see, where you want to go, your budget and interests. Please find a comprehensive guide on when is the best time to visit Tanzania here.
Dry Season (June to October & December to February): These months are ideal for safaris and beach visits due to the pleasant weather and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. However, expect higher hotel rates and more crowded parks and attractions.
Mid Season (March & November): This period offers a balance of moderate hotel rates and fewer tourists. The weather can be variable, and some attractions might have limited availability (due to rains), but you still get great wildlife sightings and a more relaxed safari experience
Wet Season (April & May): Perfect for budget-conscious travelers, the low season features the lowest hotel rates and the least crowded parks. The heavy rains make the scenery vibrant and lush, but travel plans can be affected by the weather.
